In 1998, the PCA membership voted to create a scholarship fund to assist female Michigan Tech students with their educational goals.  Since this time, PCA members have been contributing to the fund to ensure its growth and success.  Currently, the endowed scholarship fund carries a balance of more than $64,000.

The University's Scholarship Committee oversees the selection of a recipient.  The scholarship may be awarded to an incoming freshman, a transfer student, or to a currently enrolled female undergraduate student.  In addition, the scholarship may be awarded on a renewable basis if a 2.5 GPA is maintained for each academic year at Michigan Tech.

The PCA is extremely pleased to announce that the first award from the scholarship fund has been made this year.  Lola Oyebola, a senior in Electrical Engineering, had received just over $1,000 for the 2005-2006 academic year.

For more information on the PCA scholarship fund, contact Paula Nutini with Michigan Tech's Office of Development at pjnutini[a]mtu.edu.
